Joanna StrangerRule 9 Intern, practicing in Family Law and Divorce
Joanna (“Jo”) has been with this firm since April, 2013, and was recently admitted to practice law as a Rule 9 Intern by the Washington State Supreme Court. As a Rule 9 Intern, she has full authority to advise clients in legal matters and to provide a full range of legal services, including representing clients in court. She was previously registered as a paralegal with the Spokane County Bar Association.
Having worked in the family law arena for over four years, Joanna is knowledgeable in all areas of family law including divorce and separation, child custody, spousal support, and modifications of existing orders. She enjoys helping her clients navigate our sometimes overwhelming court system and work towards an equitable resolution.
A native of Eastern Washington, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Pre-Law Option from Washington State University, and was a member of both the Pi Sigma Alpha Honors Society and the Pi Alpha Theta Honors Society.
Outside of the office, Joanna frequently volunteers with the Volunteer Lawyers Program, and was named the 2016 Paralegal of the Year. She is a talented olympic weightlifter, skier, and was a competitive gymnast for most of her youth. She also loves spending time hiking and camping with her husband and their two dogs, Brody and Arya.
